The Centre
Our centre was founded by Dr Nikolaos G Kostopoulos in 1999.
It is located in Kifissia in the northern suburbs of Athens on the edge of Syngrou Park, approximately 45 minutes from the airport. The leafy surroundings include a beautiful garden flanked by cypress trees and views over Athens and Mount Ymittos.
Dr Nikolaos G Kostopoulos
Dr Nikolaos G Kostopoulos graduated from Athens Medical University, Greece. He has worked in the Renal Unit of the Athens Naval Hospital and the Intensive Care Unit of the main Hospital for Chest Diseases (Sotiria), in Athens. He has also worked in the Respiratory Unit of Manchester Royal Infirmary in England.
Dr Kostopoulos was introduced to Ayurveda by Vaidya Asvin Barot and in collaboration with him, he practiced privately in Harley Street, London (UK) for 10 years, combining Ayurveda and modern medicine.
He established the Holistic Health Centre in Kifissia, Athens in 1999 and specialises in providing individualised, integrated medical care.
In addition to running his medical practice, Dr Kostopoulos and Vaidya Asvin Barot carry out ongoing research within the field of psychosomatic disease and stress management through Ayurvedic treatments in conjunction with modern medical research.
Dr Kostopoulos is a member of the Faculty of Homeopathy in England and of the Hellenic Homeopathic Association in Greece. He participates in international conferences and has given lectures in the UK, Ireland, Germany, France, Switzerland, Japan, Canada and India, promoting a modern, scientific approach to Ayurveda.
